The center aims to promote public health by raising awareness of preventive medicine and facilitating early disease detection. Under the motto “A happy family begins with good health,” it offers a wide range of examinations and programs, including mobile health checkups via examination vehicles, as well as brain and heart checkups at its facilities.
Previously, film-based exams were managed alongside digital data stored on local servers. However, the coexistence of film-based and on-premises data posed long-term challenges in remote data sharing, system update costs, and server maintenance. To overcome these issues, in 2019 the facility adopted Cloud PACS NOBORI for mammography, coinciding with the launch of a mobile mammography screening bus. Eliminating film and fully digitizing all image data enabled seamless remote information sharing, resolved operational costs, and established centralized management within a secure cloud environment.
Following a major facility renovation in 2023, the cloud PACS was expanded beyond mammography to encompass all imaging modalities and was integrated with the Personal Health Record NOBORI (PHR). Given the aging local infrastructure, installing multiple servers was no longer practical, while the growing volume of imaging data underscored the need for stronger interoperability between reporting and health screening systems. Migrating to the cloud eliminated the physical constraints of on-prem servers, enabling a more secure and efficient image management workflow.
With the introduction of NOBORI PHR, examinees can now complete questionnaires and view their health checkup results directly via a smartphone app, making personal health management more convenient and engaging. The center also operates a clinic, ensuring a seamless continuum of care from screening to treatment. Looking ahead, leveraging the cloud environment is expected to deepen collaboration with multiple nearby medical institutions, including the affiliated Ogaki Medical Checkup Plaza, thereby contributing to the revitalization and connectivity of regional healthcare.
