Kushiro Red Cross Hospital, offering a wide range of medical services across 23 departments, is a key hub for perinatal and pediatric emergency care, committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate medical services.
The hospital had been using an on-prem PACS from another company since 2010. Over the years, however, the amount of data stored on the hospital servers grew significantly, raising concerns about the continued use of on-premises PACS due to limitations in both management and cost. The high performance of the new product lineup from PSP, especially the Smart-Retrieve function giving a strong sense of confidence, was a decisive factor to make the shift to the cloud.
Aiming for system integrity and versatility, the hospital implemented the full suite of PSP solutions by June 2024. As of mid-November, the total number of examinations managed through the cloud PACS had already surpassed 64,000 cases.
The Regional Healthcare Collaboration Service TONARI, introduced to enhance coordination between regional facilities, has received highly positive feedback from partner referrals for enabling smooth cloud-based image sharing. The high interoperability with the Emergency Off-site Image Viewing Service TSUNAGU and Remote Diagnostic Imaging Support Service ICHIGO has also performed as expected.
As a core medical institution in eastern Hokkaido, the hospital continues to expand its regional network and leverage the cloud services to foster even more dynamic inter-facility collaboration.
